Meet the Dragons

Red is our 12 y/o Thoroughbred gelding. He's an OTTB that was retired from racing due to a knee injury when he was young. Red has lived at DPR since he was about 5 years old and we have this remarkable boy to thank for the creativity behind our name, ideas and designs. As many equestrians do with their own horses, we often refer to this guys spicy demeanor as him displaying "dragon behavior". For many years he has been playfully nicknamed the Crack Dragon by all who know and love him. We would frequently refer to riding him as "going to pilot the dragon" and over the years it has definitely stuck. We love the relatability of Dragon Pilot, as many equestrians and horse lovers alike can absolutely think of a horse or two that displays their own form of dragon behavior!
